Musab - a poem written after visiting Musab (pictured above) at the apartment house he lives in in Nablus. B.R.Taub

I am Musab, six years old
Two days ago Israeli soldiers surrounded our house at 2 A.M. shooting
Helicopter gunships illuminated the night
Their rotors like giant fans hung from the sky
The whine of rockets like angry birds
Here 4 bullet holes through the door of the room where my brother sleeps
Here the shattered windows
"Take your clothes off, all of you," the Israeli soldiers yell
Then father was handcuffed
Taken as a human shield to the apartment of uncle Hussan
Where bullets pierced another door
Pierced the chest of the old man opening it
Who bleeds to death for want of an ambulance
His body is removed
The soldiers withdraw
But brother is still crying
My city Nablus is still occupied
The old man remains dead
And I am Musab, six years old.

Check out the BCC article on what happened to Musab's family if you want to read about these events from a different fictional perspective.

I am also a Jewidh Voice for Peace, I read the BBC article. It appears that the IDF was seeking an Al Aksa Martyr's Brigade Opeative. These guys are out to murder my wife and kids and do not seek to live in peace but belive in violence and terroroism. Hurray to IDF for seeking him out to protect my wife and kids, Too bad what happened to Musab and the old guy - i do not envy Musab and feel sorry for him but the lives of my family n Kfar Saba comes first

It is truly amazing how different these stories can sound, one from the BBC-- whom most individuals would believe to be true-- and one from you all-- the report I find so much more credible. Thank you for your courage to go to the "battle grounds", to share your observations, feelings, and thoughts with us, and for trying to make a difference in such a difficult part of the world. May God help the peacemakers and those who fight for justice.

There is never a good enough reason Marc for shooting indescriminatly at innocent women, children or elderly folk which ever side of the divide they belong to. Violence can and does only destroy, tear down and kill. It can achieve no positive thing. It also destroys the person who commits it...whatever uniform they wear. There is no religion on earth that demands the death of innocent civilians. Any religion that perports to do so is tainted by the author of violence, hatred and death; the very satan we are warned to avoid at all costs.
Only peace, understanding, forgiveness and tolerance can bring any healing between peoples whatever the wrong and for however long that wrong has been been going on. An open hand holds no sword. As one who has suffered greatly from an act of terrorism I know something of what I speak. Only peace can lead us forward. Only violence will hold us back.
